I recently invented Uniquely Shaped Bent Mica Shades

to bring Antique Lamp Bases everywhere out of storage.

This has Never Been Done with Mica Before.

These are very special collectible shades as I am

The Only Mica Shade Artist in America Today.

My shades can now be found in Museums and Archival Institutions all across the country.

My "Jack O' Lantern " shade is in the President Woodrow Wilson house Library.

I encourage buyers to print out a copy of the purchase letter(s)

to keep with the piece for historic reference.

I Benchmake and Sign Each Shade By Hand in my NYM Arts Studio here in New York.

I use the Finest American Mica Sheet surrounded in Beautiful Heavy Lead Bead over Copper Foil.

Top & Bottom Edges are Reinforced with 1/8" Round Solid Brass Stock  where applicable.

My clients benefit greatly from my obsessive compulsive need to design

and produce these mica shades on a daily basis.

To Date, 51 Countries across the Globe have viewed my Special Mica Shades

Introduction : Arts & Crafts Redefined - My Mica Shade Designs Are EXCLUSIVE. While I do make a few Standard Mica Shade Shapes & Custom Cylinders, I Invented Special Bent Mica Shades a few years ago at my NYM Arts Studio here in New York specifically to rescue YOUR old lamp bases. I design every shade you see in my listings. I make every shade by hand. My fabrication technique is totally unique - The Heavy Lead Bead Over Copper Foiled Curved Mica Panels is My Unique Contribution to Lighting History, and gives me the Honor of being THE ONLY Mica Shade Artist in America Today. I work in 3 kinds of Amber Mica (Dark Mottled Amber, Light Amber & Natural Amber (with Black Flecks) , and Silver Mica, usually with an applied design. When considering a purchase, be mindful of the considerable amount of time and physical pain endured (bent panel shades) to bring this finished piece to you. My shades are indeed rare. You will see one of my shades in the  Library of the Woodrow Wilson House in Baltimore, MD.
